The City of Raleigh's Zipcar program will play a vital role in encouraging commuters to take an alternate commute to work. The City of Raleigh, NC State University and Meredith College are working together to implement a program in downtown Raleigh and at surrounding colleges and universities to provide a cost effective and convenient transportation option to students, faculty and staff, as well as community members ages 21 and up.

The program will launch with two Zipcars on Glenwood Avenue @ Lane Street.

To use Zipcars, simply register as a member, reserve a car online or by using Zipcar's mobile app for iPhone/Android, use your Zipcard to enter the car, and drive away. When you're done, return the car to the same location where you picked it up.
