First Friday Resident Reception Invite:
Join fellow residents and Downtown Living Advocates for a FREE, fun-filled First Friday reception on Friday, August 3 from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm at the Visual Art Exchange. The Downtown Raleigh Alliance and triangle.com are co-hosting this informal gathering as an introduction to Raleigh’s popular monthly gallery walk. And just because it’s part of the monthly art walk doesn’t mean you have to know art. This event is for art enthusiasts and novices alike. Everyone will enjoy the chance to:
1. Enjoy beer from Fortnight Brewing Company and Natty Greene’s Brewing Company2. Enjoy light hors d'oeuvres from Tuscan Blu Italian Restaurant 3. Enter to win a piece of art and other giveaways 4. View the “Monochrome” exhibit at the Visual Art Exchange Win a FREE Trolley Pub Raleigh ride (six winners will be selected from the raffle) 1. Each winner can bring one guest 2. The ride will be immediately following the reception (6:30 pm-8:00 pm) 3. Beer will be provided 4. Pick up your raffle ticket at the venue starting at 5:30 pm 5. After the reception, attendees are encouraged to explore downtown and take advantage of all that First Friday has to offer. With over 80 participating venues there is something for everyone. We will provide a map and guide listing all participating venues and restaurant specials as well as few top picks for the evening provided by triangle.com.
RSVP by e-mailing Ellen Fragola at ellenfragola@downtownraleigh.org by Wednesday, August 1st and an extra ticket under your name will be added to the raffle drawing. RSVPs are not required but are encouraged.
